Is this just a period curio in a shoestring theatre? Not really. Despite the core plot of two old enemies who once loved the same man and fine melodramatic riffs from Irish Deirdre (Patricia Leventon) it is not strongly dramatic. It's an Old Contemptibles parade for ladies of the stage. Salute it.

Patricia Leventon's comically woeful Biblical warnings as Deirdre provide the most entertaining moments of the show.
